With continuous innovation and research/development, the technology research institute of Kwang Myung Electric Engineering Inc., having the purpose of ˇ° Establishment of valued-added company ˇ± and ˇ° Pursuit of maximized efficiency ˇ± , has pursued numerous activities for the development of new technologies and its own power technologies, in accordance with the rapidly changing domestic/international marker environments.

To complete the mission, it has endeavored to develop the national best products in the wide field, ranging low voltage to ultra high voltage, such as breakers, transformers, switchgears and automatic systems. With the maximization of the energy efficiency and environment-friendly products, it has also devoted to itself to enable the cool social environment and high customer fulfillment to be met.

In order to advance to a world leading electric power company by challenging to the limitless possibility coming with the field of cutting-edge electric power systems in 21C, the technology research institute of Kwang Myung Electric Engineering Inc. have carried out various research and development activities on the architecture concentrated on the electric power equipment and electric power protection.

Delivered 25.8kV dual buses GIS in Korea first ( Electric Substation in North Pohang )

1994. 09.

Developed a electronic switchgear (KISCON-1000) and obtained a test certificate(Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute)

1995. 01.

Registered a patent, titled ˇ°Control device of Multifunctional Electronic Switchgear ˇ±(patent number 081312)

1996. 10.

Localized 25.8kV dual buses GIS Widely and obtained a test certificate(Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute)

1997. 08.

Contracted a technical partnership with DDS (UPS)

1998. 11.

Moved the Technology Research Institute( Seoul office-> head office in Yeongu-Dong, Ansan

1998. 12.

Localized 25.8kV single bus GIS and obtained a test certificate(Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute)

Transferred UPS technology to Digital Power Tech.

Delivered 25.8kV single bus GIS in Korea first (765kV Electric Substation )
